Anyone know about Feng Huang Phoenix bikes?

I was just at a garage sale and saw a truly incredible bike - it was one of those old 3-speeds you see everyone riding in movies about China. The chainguard was enclosed and had "Phoenix" written on it and the top and seat tubes had Feng Huang along with various chinese characters which I could not read.

It had what appeared to be a drum brake on the rear hub (3-speed internal) and some really cool graphics- i'll try to attach a picture of a new one I found online - the ONLY site I found with any info at all about the bike.

So, anyone know anything about these bikes or what they may be worth?

Appreciate any advice!

I had one a couple years ago. It was very much like a Raleigh Superbe; full chaincase, 26-inch wheels, Shimano 333 3-speed hub. There's not much on the web about them; about all I found out was it's a common brand in China, and that Feng Huang is the Chinese equivalent of the Native American Phoenix legend. As for what they're worth, it's like any other old bike: Whatever you can get. Where I live I could probably sell one for about what a similar Raleigh would sell for.

Thanks!

As for its worth, I was actually wondering more how about much I should pay for it - they are asking $130but I talked them down to $100 even. Would I be ripping myself off? I have searched oldroads.com for any info but found none.

Personally, it'd have to be immaculate for me to pay $100 for it, but I'm cheap.
