Cleats

So if you have a great vintage bike with the original "rat-trap" pedals you can either replace the pedals so you can ride the bike OR you can try to find cleats. Does anyone know where to find cleats?

Hey Marlin:

What kind of cleats do you need?

Something like this?

The white ones came with an old pair of Sidi Shoes. They've never been used, but the mounting bolts are lost to the ages.

The yellow ones came with Diadora shoes. I have two unused sets of them. One set has the bolts.

If you want them, let me know. You've got first dibs. If you don't want them, I'll just as happily send them to someone else. Let me know.

I realized I don't have the mounting bolts and decided just to go ahead and put the Speedplays on the bike. Thanks for the offer. Sorry this response is so late.

I wear Diadora mountain bike shoes with the sole breakouts still in place. They work as well as my old Avocet touring shoes, which had steel shanks and grooved rubber soles.
