Chrome chain stay protectors - source?

Anyone know a source for these? I'd really like to put a new one on the Serotta (and my other bikes come to think of it). I've found some leather ones from velo-orange, but the chrome ones would look better on my bikes in my opinion. Anyone got any ideas?

Get some aluminum or copper strips, annealed for softness and just bend them around the chainstay. Then reheat and chill them rapidly to harden them. Chromeplate or silver paint them if you need that effect. Use some low grade locktite to put them on (in case you change your mind).

Gold strips would be much easier to bend around the stays but not good for resisting wear. And why have a chain guard that costs more then the bike.

I bought mine off eBay. They are thick, chromed plastic "Campagnolo" script chainstay decals & run about $10 each. Just search for "campagnolo decals" and they should pop up
