$80 for the machine and $200+ for an overhaul at a sympathetic bike shop. Fine. For a light adult to ride with kids around the neighborhood to introduce them to the joy of cycling. I rode one like that as a teenager. Took a couple of girls on summer dates with it before I could drive. None asked to repeat the experience. My current tandem cost $2,300 21 years ago and can carry 2x200 pounds and 4 panniers.

That's because you didn't ask them to be in the front, everyone would have enjoyed that.

I talked to Anthony. He's going to try to make out what type it is and find a seriel number for it.

He's got some older Schwinns and something that's "all chrome and has a big spring on the front from the 50's" He's getting rid of all his bike stuff.

Why would it cost $200 for a tune up? I'm sure most of us here can tune up our own bikes.

+1!

If that rig was close to the Left Coast, I'd go get it for $80!
and paint it!

I'm going to check out a MOtoB tomorrow.
We'll see...
