Help! What year is my old KHS

Greetings everyone - I need some help. I just purchased this clean KHS Competetion bike. I love it. Rides very well. I have no idea what year this bike is. I have searched the internet and cannot find a thing about it.

So is this bike an anomaly? One of a kind? Junk? Is there any hope of finding out more about it!
