volkcycle

I've run across two of these lately, anyone ever heard of them or know anything. Couldn't find info on Sheldon Brown or Classic Ren.

Here's a thread, and one of the members posted a link to scans of the sales brochure.

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ght=volkscycle

Since you misspelled the same way as the eBay ad, I assume you are looking at the same bike I am watching:

https://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Volkcycl...QQcmdZViewItem

If I needed another bike, I would be all over that!

Since it looks very nice, I would probably look at going as high as $150 (plus the shipping makes it... well, more than I should spend when I already have too many bikes).

I suspect that for a couple of reasons I am drawn to the bike.

1) The sales brochure was taken in my favorite cycling area as a kid, at about the same time as I was riding there...

2) It looks nice.

3) It is a bicycle.

BTW - there are a couple of other threads on the volkscycle if you do a search.

Thanks for the help, and yes I am watching, but if you want it I'll back out. I'm not sold on it yet, maybe after I read you info. Have you seen that Carlton in S. CA? If so, whatcha think?

If you want the Volkscycle, go for it.

Like I said, I would pay $150 IF I needed/wanted another bike.

It looks like it is in nice shape.

I haven't seen the Carlton
