Bianchi Campione question.
Hey I was looking on Craigslist and came across this bike. A Bianchi Campione for 800$. Here is the link https://cnj.craigslist.org/bik/312530728.html. Is this a good deal for the bike?

At least to me that bike would fall into the "not classic but obsolete" catagory.
Still would be an excellent road bike, but I would think worth more like $400. They were not much more than $800 new.

It's a price leader designed to get people into a store then possibly sell up from. It's a starter bike for someone to try out cycling to find out if they want to continue the sport. It's a college student's transportation, a high school kid's transportation. These were very common during the bike boom in the 70's into the early 80's, and this bike is from that era. The decal and name are meaningless. These were manufactured in Tiawan and sold under various brands.
