    resurrecting an old leather saddle.

My classroom aid gave me an old Rampar 10 speed to fix. The bike is in pretty bad shape, but has a decent frame and some ok parts.

What it does have is a leather Ideale saddle which looks like it was very nice in it's day. The leather is pretty dried up, but the saddle is otherwise intact.

Is there any way to make it better?

I have had good results with a product by Armour All called "Leather Care". It rejuvenated an old Brooks & a French Pryma saddle. You could always try Brooks Proofide. For annual maintenance, I use a saddle care product from Wildcat Saddlery in Utah that is similar to Proofide but is harder & not as greasy. It comes in a can about 4 times larger than Proofide for the same price. Don

I'm pretty much a noob at leather saddles myself, but I've been using my leftover baseball glove conditioner.

The last two bikes on my list are a 50's Lenton Grand Prix and a '64 Raleigh Record.
