Most desired frame?
OK, if you suddenly were to be granted a wish of the vintage frame of your choice, what would it be? I'm curious to see what people are interested in!

Don't know your size but there is one of which I am aware.
I will agree, a Confente is nice.

Hmmm frame only? Well an authentic curly hetchins would be a nightmare in terms of sourcing the parts. Can't go vintage french randonneur as the cost would be prohibitive there unless i kept the frame as wall art so I too would go with Confente or a 79/80 Masi just because I have a super record group for it.

I'd really like a Raleigh Team track frame.

Masi Grand Criterium or Colnago Master. Pedestrian, I know, but I've always wanted one or the other.

I would think that the frame Eddy Merckx rode during his hour record would be pretty desirable, and it would be just my size, I've always wanted a track bike, why not have, THE track bike. I can see the ebay listing now, impress your friends...
Realistically I wouldn't mind having a top of the line French Motobecane, I like the long wheelbase that the French bikes had, I imagine most people won't say no to a Colnago or De Rosa, Richard Sachs, Serrota...
I doubt many people will be championing the virtues of the Schwinn Varsity.

Llewellyn, any color. Not exactly classic... yet. Just make it my size and I'm happy.

Something like this (with a different saddle) would be way cool.
Team Motorola Merckx on ebay
The team rider (Dag Otto Lauritzen) of the bike was a pretty gutsy and tough rider. I remember when he won a bronze in the 1984 Olympic road race. I remember hearing the story about his recovering from a parachute accident while he was in the Norwegian army. He was told he would never walk again. Not only did he walk again but he won an Olympic cycling medal and had a professional career with a TDF stage victory. That would be a cool bike to own.

A chrome Schwinn Paramount, '64-'70 is cool,a rust-free one,it would have to be near perfect, chrome ones that I've seen have rust problems. As far as NON-vintage,I'd take a 1990 Tomassini Velocista Max.

Awhile back I saw a comparison of Eddy's bike from 1975 to Lances 2005 or '06 Trek. I feel in love with that bike. I so want one of those frames. Colnago I believe.

I'd have either an Ernie Clements, or a Rotrax. I kinda like the idea of a Rotrax trackie, but actually, I think a Shirley Model roadie would be better. I'd ride it through Shirley, past what used to be the Rotrax shop....
