? Victory Bicycle ?

A friend said he had a "Victory" bike in his garage. That it had a new rim on one wheel but that the rest is origional. He thought that maybe it was from the WWII era and wondered if it was worth anything. I gathered that it was somewhat rideable.

Anyone out there have any ideas? Would this bike that may be Schwinn related be worth anything? I'll past you words on to him.

Hawthorne

There were Victory bikes made for Montomery wards catalogs badged Hawthorne, the MW brand. 1941 or 42, I believe. Get the Hawthorne, elgin book at the cabe.com, that has the catalog literature for that era. Marc
