Pics: 2 bikes, 40s-50s?, I.D.? Info?
Hiya; friend of mine has these bikes. He's been asking me about them, but I have no idea whatsoever. He's curious about age and history and whatnot, wants me to help him get them rideable/partially restored.
Any information you may have is greatly appreciated. I'll tell you what I know.
Thanks,
Josh
Firestone Cruiser, made in the USA. Bendix single speed coasterbrake. VIN tag on bottom bracket (last photo)
Seat says "Mesinger MFG Co", grips say "Trim Grips" and light says "(something) Hawk". New Departure Model D coasterbrake. No apparent seatclamp? Weird bottom bracket like I've never seen with what looks like F8 123 stamped on it. Front sprocket welded to cranks.

The First one is a Monark made for Firestone. The second one looks like a cheapie I've never seen before.
They both look rideable to me. Maybe their coaster hubs should be regreased.

Yep, the first is a Firestone built by Monark. The headlight on that one is worth a good deal however it looks like yours is missing the top.
The second is similar to some Colsons but I think it is a Stelber.
