i was just wondering how good of a bike this is.
i know i definitely got a good deal. it was $5 at a garage sale and is in really good shape.
i just would like to know more about it and cant find too much on google.

We need photos! $5 for ANY bike which can be ridden (and especially one in good shape) is a good deal.

East Hill

Man there are a lot of Miyatas showing up lately. Its hard to go wrong for $5. Welcome to the c/v forum. Easthill is our unofficial photo moniter person, shes very nice too.

well when i bought it i didnt know anything about bikes (i still dont know very much) or what bikes i had were good and which ones werent. i had 2 schwinns, my miyata, and a raleigh and the miyata was the cheapest so i decided to practice painting on it and try flop n chopping my handlebars and making a suicide hub or a bumbike, im not sure if its the same thing.

those are the only 2 pictures i have.
i probably should'nt have painted it or done anything else to it, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
i dont really know too much about it other than its a 1982 and has suntour parts.




oh and the seats from the raleigh because it came with some huge seat.
and the back brakes went to a schwinn without front brakes and a disc brake in the back.

I would like to know more about the schwinn with the disc brake on the back.

the Schwinn's serial number is 72489596 i think. its kind of worn and hard to tell.
from looking on http://www.bunchobikes.com/serialnumber4.htm, the only year that the serial numbers start with a 7 was 1957, but they all are 7d, 7e or 7f. mines definitely 72 in the beginning.
its painted because it had a lot of rust when i got it and i dont remember what kind it is.

i remembered its a Peugeot.
i knew it started with a p and its definitely that.
