Mystery Peugoet Mirage? PX10? I think not...

I just spotted this bike on ebay.

Peugeot Mirage? PX10? UO8???

https://cgi.ebay.com/Peugeot-Frame-Fo...QQcmdZViewItem

Nervex pro lugs, but a Cadre allege peugeot decal... Obviously a late 1970's peugeot due to decals, but not a UO8... Simplex dropouts but pump pegs on the down tube....

what is this thing?

Very odd bike.

1. Decals put time frame from '76 thru '79
2. Only touring models in that time period had downtube pump pegs
3. No generator tab may exclude touring models
4. As far as I can tell no models were produced in that time period with those Nervex lugs
5. Mirage...The French have a fighter called 'Mirage'

My guess....late '70's French market touring model. PX50-ish

There is a long lineage of Mirage Fighter Jets, From the 1950's to now, and Motobecane made a Mirage Bike.

There's a 'mirage' Peugeot listed in one of my older British catalogs. Looks like a 70's vintage British Peugeot.

PX10, no way, but a nice enough frame all the same and that 'tricolore' framepump's great!

It looks like a late 1970s PA-10 to me:
1) derailleur hanger;
2) Cadre allege (NOT Reynolds 531!!!!) tubing sticker;
3) nicer lugs than a UO-8/9/whatever
