Adagio Corse

I'm building up a singlespeed for around town riding, and was debating between late vintage super record white levers or using the modern carbon brake levers. My decision will be based purely on comfort and function over weight. How do the older super record levers compare to the newer carbon record brake levers in terms of comfort or use? Are the newer ones evolutionarily smoother or are they just lighter, but functionally equivalent?

I've used Shimano all my life, so wanted to hear the experience of Campy pros before I committed to purchasing either.

the hoods are larger and you have more to hold on to with new brake levers. Go new for function and comfort. I use the tektro R200 which basically copy the campy ergo shape and are dirt cheep. Very comfy on the touring bike which runs barcons.

Campy Super Record levers aren't comfortable. I'd go with the new ones or the Tektro knockoffs.

Does Cane Creek source their brake levers from Tektro too? They look suspiciously identical, but have a "compact" version for "smaller" hands which I kind of like for city riding.

yes they are the same. made by tektro. you can get the R100 from tektro as well.
