Centering Raleigh Sports brakes?

The rear brakes on my 62 Raleigh Sports don't stay centered after I brake. I've tried loosening the bolt, centering, re-tightening and they still pull off center after I brake.

What's the trick?

I read through the thread McDave provided, but it didn't help as the brakes on a Raleigh Sports don't have a centering bolt.

FWIW: I was able to get it resolved by using the "hammer" method. I took a screwdriver and placed it on the top part of the spring on the side that was off and used a hammer to tap it centered.
