Belgian bikes for sale

I know nothing about C&V Belgian bikes, despite living there

This seems to be the main place for sales - anything interesting?

Dude: nothing personal, but I'm not gonna do your research for you. You might get better responses by picking out a bike or two and asking some questions. That said, there are some terrific 3 speeds with fully enclosed chain covers on that list. I'd pick up one of those in a heartbeat for 200 euros if they were available in the wilds of Iowa but they're not, . Those bikes are really well built tanks. The chain cover keeps the chain (and your pants) clean, they have lights, a built in lock, a classy leather saddle, and a pretty stout rack for carrying groceries or your GF to a bar. What more do you need in a bike? On 2d thought, it doesn't look like the GF comes with the bike for 200 euros but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Are you looking for yourself? Or looking to make a profit. I know what I would buy for either option...there are many jewels for sale in your country, you lucky dog.

Actually, I'm not in the market for anything (Mevrouw Nerdy would do her nut!).

Just thought I'd post the link in the spirit of the C&V community, after following the recent thread about Belgian bikes. I'm in the "facilitators" thread BTW.

I mentioned that I didn't know anything about these bikes not because I was soliciting info, more just in case it was all a load of junk (which it sounds like it's not) in which case I would look stooopid (which I frequently do).

Definitely not a load junk - Some VERY nice bikes in there and priced within the realm or reason, given the current exchange rates of $1.24 to the Euro.

Good point about Mevrouw Nerdy; so no need to ask whether those beautiful 3 speeds come with a GF for 200 euros. So I guess the next question is why aren't you in the market for anything? The one thing I hate (and love) about this website is that it makes me think I really want/need a bike that I know I really don't need/want, Those are some great bikes at what seem to be pretty reasonable prices.

lets see, I found a Zieleman Piste, for either €750 or €425 depending on the advert you read. either way price isn't too bad.
found an old Merckx listed, looks suspiciously like a De Rosa so I'm guessing its a very early production model.
Yah, I'd say there's some good stuff there.
