Garage jewel's...Campy Delta proto and others
I am building up my Benotto at my neighbors house and I asked him if I could nose around some of his bike stuff. I will just show some of the pics and keep my mouth shut. How about those Delta's......

I am not sure if they are a set of Proto's or a set of the first Gen's that had the recall. Either way, pretty rare set. He has lots more NOS mid 80's to Early 90's campy sacked away. He used to own a hi end boutique LBS that only carried Italian brands and Benotto. Apparently he had a pretty good relationship with the Campy folks through all of his trips over there. When he closed up shop in the early 90's he took his coplete inventory and stuck it in his garage where it still sits today. With his help I am building my first classic bike. It is nice to have all the cool correct tools to use.

The proto Deltas on Campyonly had a recessed mounting nut. This one, interestingly, is shown with a hex nut.

The front rim on that Benotto funny bike is something that I have been looking for for a long time, a nice grey/black aero rim; do you happen to know the make/model of it? Or maybe someone can recommend something similar? Thanks.

It's almost definitely tubular and it is definitely 650... I can suggest the wolber profile 20 tubular... if you are interested I have one in 32h and I think there might actually be a NOS mate at work... 700 of course.

Gary, I've been scrolling through the photo's for about 5 mins. now and I can't think of anything remotely intelligent to say - only WOW!
I think you've gone to the right place to put your bike together. Love the Campy toolset and freewheel toolset - and the whole shed for that matter.

fishnets are rubbery flexy plastic.
*Edit* lol I thought they were the cutting edge covers, not the actual fish nets for little Nemos.
They're meant to cover the cutting edges of the tools when you're storing them so they don't get damaged.
We had two of those kits and we used them all the time. What I couldn't believe is that when you closed the case and picked it up none of the tools moved around inside. With such a thin wood shell I always thought I'd open up the case and find a mish mash of really expensive (and damaged) tools.
My favorite tools were the cutting tools, esp the BB ones. Something really satisfying when you take the tool out and the previously not-too-fine, painted over threads come out looking like freshly machined artwork.
I think the tool I used most was the dropout tools and the derailleur hanger tool. Well other than the wrenches.

The Campagnolo tool kit is nice but a freewheel kit too...very nice.
One thing about that tool kit, once you use one, you will have a hard time accepting less, for some tools, there are better, the headset wrenches sometimes are not perfect, there is a company in Arizona I think that makes better, the rear derailluer hangar adjustment tool is not as percise as the Shimano unit made for the first generation of SIS... but what a pleasure to use those tools. Way back when Shimano originally made the alignment tool, in the instructions it advised to use a Campagnolo hub to "complete" the tool for use, !?!.
