silly question: skiptooth sweetheart chainrings

i know they were on schwinns, did any other bikes use them? what years were they used between? thanks!

I am not positive but I think the heart shapes on the chain rings was a Schwinn trademark, if that was the case, I would not expect to find them on any other brand of bike.

I've only seen them on pre 1950s bikes, particularly pre-war bikes.
