Stronglight Crank BB Taper ?
I am in the process of dismantling my wife's old Raleigh Super Course. Someone had fitted it with a Phil Wood bottom bracket (!). It had a Stronglight crank set. Is the taper for Stronglight the same for Campy, or what is it? I am trying to decide if it is worth finding a Phil BB tool to remove this or not.

I've run Campy, Stronglight, and TA cranks on Phil Wood bottom brackets without a problem. I think the main issue is that the Campy crank will fit a bit more deeply on the spindle, thus offering less clearance between crank and chainstay.
If you decide to pull that crankset, PM me; I have a spare tool that I'd be willing to trade.

In my experience, Neal is right. The Campy crank will fit more deeply on the spindle. I put a Super Record crank on a Stronglight spindle previously occupied by a Stronglight 93 crank and it fits much more closely. My chainline is okay, though.

I understand (and have first-hand evidence) that Campagnolo switched to a wider spindle end circa 1994. I don't know Stronglight's history, but in the 1970s one could freely intermix any brand of cranks and spindles except Shimano.
