1986 peugeot seatpost

I just recently had my saddle/seatpost stolen off my Canadian-made mid 80's Peugeot. I hadn't known before but the seatpost diameter is, as many of you know, quite small. Does anyone have any suggestions for a place to find a sub-25mm seatpost? I've looked around online and asked in some bike shops but no one seems to have any ideas. I'd really appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks.

yellowjersey.org has them, but they are pretty pricey. Join the classic rendezvous email list and ask around, might have better luck there. But first, take it to your LBS and get an exact measurement.

It's most likely a 22.2mm or 7/8" Amazon.com has one for $5 12" x 7/8" chrome made by Pyramid. You'll need the companion saddle clamp to go on top.

QBP also sells them, finde an online retailer like harriscyclery.com and order one.

Here's one for $22 with seat clamp. Old school BMX bikes had these seatposts.

Another one at Amazon.com $15 no need for extra saddle clamp.

I was looking for one of these just this morning.

It might need a 24---like my 1983 peugeot psvn. I bought a cheap one online made by Kalloy. However, I cannot remember the vendor.
