Victory RD really kicks in most foward position
Thanks Cuda888 for your encouragement in using the adjustable tab on the Campy Victory rear derailleur in the most foward position. In the middle position it didn't shift badly but with a 13-23 six cog freewheel and the more agressive position it now shifts as well as any Suntour I have ever had. The top jockey wheel is frightfully close to the larger cogs in the smaller chainwheel but it still clears. I don't even have to do the famous Campy shift - readjust move. It's a tight little mechanism plus it has way more chic than an old Superbe or Dura Ace derailleur. The Victory isn't even annodized so you can polish it out and remove any roadrash. It looks and works like brand new now. I also bought a lovely little dropout hanger bender for 10 bucks new on ebay. It threads right into the hanger and it's about a foot long, so you can easily judge the amount of force. A couple of tugs, a couple of tries and now the pulleys are in the same plane. Much better than using a four inch allen wrench on the derailleur and struggling.
