Centurion LeMans
Found this on CL https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/417588628.html
Tange #2 tubing and its my size. But does anyone have any more info than whats provided in the description? Aslo found another LeMans https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/416038201.html. I've searched the forums and found info on "Super Lemans" Bikes, but are either of these "Super"?

The first one has been removed now. $185 seems pretty steep for that second one but if it fits you and you like it you might as well at least go have a look. I'd definitely offer the seller less though.

haha that one sold already too. I found 3 ok bikes on CL today and all sold before I had a chance to look at them. Seems like bikes sell for a lot more here in Norcal than they do in other parts of the nation and they also seem to sell really really fast . Guess I'll just have to be quicker next time.

(Way easier to sell stuff out that way with all of the college students looking for bikes. School just started and it's a even better seller's market right now. )
IMHO, with all the students, fixie/SS crowd, and bike flippers hunting on CL in the Bay Area you really don't have any time to wait for opinions from the gang here and then go after the bike.

no kidding. Congrats on the sale. I actually just started another thread hoping that some people in some of the other states could help me find a bike. If you happen upon anything my size in the bay it would awesome if you could hit me with a pm (that is if you wanna give me a good price )

I buy and sell bikes and electronics on CL. One thing I learned right away was to say "I will buy it" not "I want to see it" You can always change your mind and not buy it if it is not what you want.People who say thay want to buy it get first chance at it.

Wow, that bike brings back memories. One of my first "cool" bikes decades ago was a Centurion with Shimano DA components and it catapulted me into this great sport.

I just picked up this LeMans a week ago for $50. It is a late 80's and weights just under 23 pounds. It is the only one I have seen with fully chromed forks.

Which is the main reason I no longer hold bikes for anyone. Yours might be a good general strategy for a buyer, but it has hardened the heart of many sellers. After getting burned many times by folks doing this to me and either not showing or walking off, I no longer give it any special consideration and will not go out of my way to accomodate such folks.
