Schwinn Stingray
I just picked up this 1968 Schwinn Stingray. Everything on the bike seems to be original. I'm just wondering how far I should take the restoration. I was thinking about rechroming and getting it repainted the same color. I found some stuff on e-bay that would get me started, but if I do go the route of rechroming, and paint thats gonna at least set me back 800$ I think. Just wanna get some other input on what I should do?

Do you have any pics?Is it that bad?The thing to remember is the fact that a restored bike isn't worth as much as an original one.A bike is only original once.If you want to go restore it just because you want a mint looking bike, there's nothing wrong with that.Just I don't think you'd get your money back if you were to sell it.Post some pics and let's see just how bad it is.
