    Moments I wished I had a camera

Just back from the usual morning ride out in Ashland (took the Shogun fixie, it's going back to single speed freewheel ). Popped in at Ashland Coffee and Tea for the usual Sunday morning breakfast. Parked against the building was another fixie - based on an Automoto frame!

Have read about them, this is the first time I've seen one. Never did find the owner before I had to pull out. It was repainted green, very nicely done, the headbadge was still intact but there were no other decals, equipment was a mixture of late 80's/early 90's Shimano 105 and 600. Running sewups.

I gotta get my cellphone upgraded, at least.

I wish I had my camera last week. There was a pack of leg shaving carbon roadies and one guy wearing identical club jersey. He was the lone steel rider on a very classic holdsworth that had been updated only slightly. He was in the big ring keeping pace just fine.

Today on the bike trail I passed a family of four - mom, pop, and two kids all riding identical Lemon Peel yellow Schwinn Stingray style bikes. Schwinn must be making these again as I'm sure they were all brand new. It was pretty funny though. Too bad I didn't get a picture.
