Dunlop tyres

I'm afraid I have suffered a major disappointment which has forced me to pen the following letter.......

Messers Dunlop & Co.

Dear Sirs,

It being a fine Spring morning I took my 1947 Raleigh out for a ride, however I must perforce report that my enjoyment was cut short. My bicycle is fitted with your Dunlop Roadster tyres which are but a mere forty years old and despite this brief period of service my rear tyre has suffered a split to the sidewall and has become deflated. When these tyres were purchased I received the verbal assurance that, 'They'll see you oot Missus.' However it seems that these tyres have failed to see me out which is a poor state of affairs for a British tyre.
Therefore I wish to advise you that it is my intent to claim a replacement tyre for my bicycle under guarantee.

Yours faithfully,

& etc.

I needed that. I hope that gives someone at Dunlop as good a laugh as it did me.
