Follow up FYI on my squeaking brake issue on my Gazelle. I'm going to replace the KoolStop Salmon pads with either the S/N. Record Kool Stop black pads, or go with a more modern pad / holder pair. This evening I tried one of the pads from my 06 Campagnolo Centaur brake set on the Serotta. No Dice. Seems in 2000 Campagnolo moved to a slightly larger bolt setup that is too wide for the slots in the Super Record calipers.

The good news is (although some might call it blasphemy) the current Dura-Ace style pad holders will work. I had a pair on the 'Cudas Tektro brake set and they worked just fine. I'm hoping the original pad holders and black kool stops will work, but I'll likely also order a set of tektro dura-ace style pads/holders just in case, or at least till the braking surfaces wear in a little bit.

cuda "machined rim surfaces are good" 2k.

the kool-stop dura ace holders and pad sets are really nice and have concave washers (unlike the older official dura-ace holders) to adjust toe-in without bending the brake arms..

also, they come with two sets of pads made with different compounds

Yeah, but at $25 a pair they're a bit steep, though I suppose if I don't use them I'll be able to put them on another bike sooner or later.
