A Use For That Junk-O-Rama
Now you don't have to reject out of hand that next cheap junker you come across. This was at a Swap Meet I (and others here) was at on Sunday. Think of the possibilities for the holidays. And for those of you who never take your holiday lights down, well, here you go.......

Did they intend for it to be a ghost bike or just a decoration?
I'm currently in the process of making a freestanding easel like structure out of frames and forks for the local college campus. Going to be an unmanned bike station with (chained down) tools for people to repair their own bikes

Perhaps even some dreadful mottled blue and white paint job . Hey, some little twinkling lights WOULD make that QR look better, wouldn't it?
I think I am inching closer .
Oh, so did you take this one home, or just get some good holiday decorating tips?

I bought a nice $5 Campy frame pump holder for the chrome Paramount. Looks like I'll get the frame back soon from a framebuilder who has it to fix a couple problems.

I have a plan for some frames, but i'm waiting to break one or two more, because I'd like them to be nice trash frames (i know it's an oxymoron). I'm going to cut out the straight tubes and weld them together, and make a picture frame for an awesome photograph of a messenger in a skid competition for fixies. I"ll probably solder rather than weld, as I'd like it to NOT have scorch marks. Or perhaps I could fit it over some pvc elbows, or something. I haven't worked out all the logistics yet, but I think it'll be cool when done. So far I just have my Raysport Criterium. But only one 2 of the tubes are still long enough. I'm thinking of going to the local coop and picking up another frame soon, because this project has taken too long already.

this is what I am going to do with the next junk bike I find:
The next step is figuring out how to ride and rock at the same time...
edit... apparently that image link is bad... just google "bike drums"
