Campy rims and tire help
For those of you using Campy clincher rims, what tires do you match with them? I just got myself a pair of Campy Omega Strada Hardox rims laced to Record hubs, and want to use them on the Casati. I learned the hard way that the rumor was true: vintage Campy rims are EXTREMELY difficult to mount clinchers on. Suggestions?

I wish I knew. I currently use 700Cx28 Continental Ultra-2000s on Campagnolo Omega rims, and for the first time I recall, I need tire levers to mount both tire beads. I do not leave home on the Bianchi without three steel tire levers in my toolbag. As far as I know, Campagnolo rims are very slightly oversize, presumably to reduce the chance of a bead-over-flange blowout.

Yup...I've used a variety of tires on my campy rims, and one just has to deal with the fact that they're notoriously tight.
