Tommasini serial number

Can anyone help me out with the meaning of Tommasini serial numbers? I purchased what I think is an early nineties Tommasini (I don't have the bike yet). The bottom bracket has "87 US" on one side and either "NW" or "MN" on the other side. I sent this info and pictures to Tommasini USA, but I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge. Thanks for any info!
