/\ That's a beauty, no doubt!

Here's a little restoration project I worked on for my brother.

Hopefully it fits, as he is coming over tonight.

Sorry for the low light pics, but here she is, a 1988 Merckx Corsa.

Restored back to a nearly complete tri color 600 gruppo. The bike was originally purchased at Zellner Radsport in Bad Reichenhall, which is about 7 kilometers from my wife's family home near Ramsau, Bayern.

I tossed some pedals on after this pic and did a quick thirty mile loop.

The bike is a strong performer with new Vittoria Evos.

This Merckx Corsa glows in person.

Stellar. Not least of the merits is what you did with Ergo shifters. I've never seen that anywhere. Up to what year were the Ergo shifter bodies made out of alloy ?

Athena/Centaur 11 speed is really weird... In a good way.

The Motobecane is nice! What did you do for the BB. Re tapped to English?

If memory serves me right the BB is French Stronglight. Spindle length required going Centaur instead of Record or Athena non-plastic.

I have a Stronglight that's Italian threaded, 102mm. Half the weight, it seems, of the metal cartridge Chorus I had. Probably more like 3/4, but definitely lighter. Until I got that one, I had no clue they cross-bred.

Beautiful C'dale, yj.

Very nice! Every time I see a Titan frame I kick myself for not picking one upa few years ago. IIRC they were going for ~200.

1978 Eisentraut "A." It's been posted before, but seeing this thread again gave me an excuse to post it again.

Thanks, nenad!

It's my understanding the alloy-bodied Ergos were only made for a couple-three years. Since they came out with the first version in 1992, my guess is the alloy bodies were gone by 1995/96.

9-speed Dura Ace barcons, Deore XT rear, Sugino DX600, Ultegra triple front. Tektro brakes, Alex Adventurer rims on 105 hubs. Contrary to many opinions, the Alex rims are reliable prime movers. Conti 38mm tires. Double-sided Wellgo pedals for easy on and off with woodsy shoes.
I built this for our Northern MN dirt roads and relatively easy logging roads. Its pretty good on rails-to-trails too.

Grady, you drive pretty close to our place on your way to Ely... stop by some time. If you ever take hwy 65 to us-169, we are 5 miles out of the way. The bikes are always changing, but the welcome doesn't.

Thanks!

Doesn't fit. He's all gorilla, through and through.

Soon as I get off my lazy rear, I'll post it for sale.

Cheap!

..and thanks for the invite. I'll take you up on that this summer sometime if you don't mind!

My name is Tom and I'm a Moto addict.
Ok.. I like it. Alot. And it is easilly a good enough frame to justify the newer Campy stuff....
I have never seen that paint scheme on a Le Champion. Is it factory or a very nice repaint?

Wow. Really, really well done. You've really managed to maintain the vintage aesthetic even with the modern components.

Yet again we think alike.

Other than the tires, I'd love to own this one as well.
