Univega Super Sport?

Did Univega make a super sport model. I saw a bike today that was a Univega, I thought it was a Super Sport, perhaps I miss read it. It was gray and a 12 speed. It had suntour components. I was trying to find out what quality of bike it was and quality of suntour components. I did a search for Univega, but without knowing the model for sure it doesn't help.

What info would be useful in determining what type of bike it is?

They made a "Supra Sport" which is a nice ride. Univega's made in Japan in general are fantastic bikes :)
One of our members (boqester I think) has an extensive list of all models. See this: http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php...=lawee+univega

Great rides indeed! My grocery-getter is a Supra Sport I pulled out of the dumpster and it rides like a dream. I think Univega's get even less respect than Miyata's, Panasonic's and Centurion's but they're nice bikes.

Indeed, I've had a Univega supra sport for a bit over 2 months, and it has really impressed me. I am told mine came with dura-ace components, but now has shimano 600. An awsome ride that deserves respect.

Does anyone know where the Viva Sport was in the Univega line, in relation to the Supra Sport and others?

An error

So i feel stupid saying this but I after riding my Univega yesterday i noticed it was a super strada not a supra sport (damn tricky alliteration). not the same thing i suppose. I only bring this up because i didn't want to mislead people into thinking that supra sports have shimano 600 or were ever equiped with dura ace, like my super strada is/was. Either way i still like my bike and i hope you enjoy yours as well.

Lucky you! I think the Super Strada was da top of the line. I'm still kicking myself for not seriously pursuing a frame (in my size no less) that went for sixty-some dollars on ebay.
