Dura Ace AX/EX HS Tools
Does anyone know who still has the tools for the headset online? I don't know of any trick on how to get it off, but if you do please tell. Also, if you have the tools yourself but don't use them anymore, would you send me a PM? Thanks

I actually have a pair of these that I bought back in '86 for my wifes univega that had 600 on it.
If you weren't on the wrong coast I'd let you use them. Don't think I want to part with them just for the oddity of having them.

I've never even seen one of those wrenches; ebay is probably your best bet. I've long thought of making one myself or even welding some appropriately shaped bumps on an old crescent wrench on the off chance I ever pick one of those headsets up.

I think Dr Deltron is correct, but you could always make some appropriately shaped blocks out of hard maple or whatever is common where you are, and then use the big honkin' crescent wrench on it.

can't help much other than to say one of shimano's tools was model number XB-420. I have one listed on Velobase, but looks like the image was lifted from one of the catalogs I have. Ebay is probably the best chance you've got for the 'proper' tool.

A craftsman strap wrench on the adjustable cup, and a larger Vise-Grip with two wood shims for the lockring.

as mentioned, a standard headset wrench carefully wielded will work, but it would be easy to damage the soft aluminum..
the tools have not been made for a long time and nobody still carries them
i'm in new york and i have one of the shimano wrenches you could borrow if you felt like bringing your bike over here
