Puch Questions
I have a Puch frame which i bought used a while ago. I recently got curious about it and decided to see how good it is and if it is worth it to continue riding it or invest in a nicer frame. It is a Puch Cavette, not sure of the year. It has the 100 anniversary decal on the seat tube towards the top and another decal on the bottom that say Special Puch Tubing 482, Made In Austria. On the down tube across from the tubing decal there is another one that says something about the bicycle being built by U.S. code and law by Steyr-Daimler-Puch of Austria.
Any ideas of the year or quality of this frame?

482 is Hi-ten steel, like Carbolite, Raleigh 2030, or other quality gaspipe.

(who has nothing against gaspipe when done with style)

It sounds like a basic entry-level plain gauge carbon steel frame, comparable to the Peugeot UO-8 and dozens of other models from France, Italy, and the U.K.
