Early Campagnolo Chorus questions
I finally got my early Campagnolo Chorus grouppo today (for my Marinoni) and I am going to swap out the entire Ofmega grouppo.
The donor bike had an english BB and the Marinoni is Italian threaded. I do have the Campy BB spindle which is marked 68-SS. Can I use my Ofmega cups for the time being or should I just wait for the right BB?
The Chorus crank arms are 9/16x20F. Is this just a standard square taper? If it is I would asssume I could use my entire Ofmega BB with the Campy crank arms.
Or would this wallow out my Campagnolo cranks arms in time?

The Ofmega cups and Campagnolo spindle should work togather, but unfortunately not in this application; Italian bottom bracket shells are 70mm wide. The ofmega spindle will work if it's the right length, I belive that's 110.5mm.

the 9/16 X 20 F indicates the pedal threading. Ofmega used the same taper as Campagnolo so you can install the Chorus arms without fear of damage - I'm not completely sure of compatibility between various vintages/models of Ofmega to Campy insofar as chainline goes tho- I'm sure someone here can help out

Thanks for the info.
The Ofmega and Campy are both 1988 vintage so maybe I will try and install the crank arms on the Ofmega BB until I find a Campy BB.
I just don't want to ruin the tapered holes in the arms.
