Information on a bike

I saw this bike on craigslist and was wondering if anyone had any information. Looks like an interesting bike to say the least. The buyers asking 20 bucks and I was strongly considering picking it up as a project for the winter. Any insights into the bike?

Go get it!

It's worth $20 easy! It's pretty much the same bike, (Same factory in Nottingham England) as a Raleigh Sports.

The last two bikes on my list are a 50's Lenton Grand Prix and a '64 Raleigh Record.

What R.N.W. said.
The Raleigh chrome polishes up nicely, and parts are available. They ride nicely too. Look up references to Raleigh three speeds in this forum.

This link to Sheldon Brown's website should lead you to everything you need to know and more. These bikes are bulletproof. $20 sounds like a deal. Go for it.

I wasn't familiar with it, but ran across one yesterday on Ebay:

(I'm assuming that's Robin Hood on the headbadge, what it looks like at least)

This sale belongs in the Numbskull thread. The only way that bike is worth $300 is if each tire was patched with a $100 bill.

I've seen some of these come in at one price and eventually get reposted at a lower price as well- can't blame 'em for trying. It IS a nice looking bike.
