A pleasant diversion....

I have 3 winter projects to work on, but I'm seriously considering moving them all aside to work on this one....a '67 Schwinn 5-speed Fastback in Coppertone, that I've owned about 3 years....it's been in the basement for about that long and when moving stuff around I noticed how nice it already was without me fixing it up....it needs some tlc and some (a lot of) elbow grease to bring it up to speed.....so what do you think? ... should I keep it in the basement or take a go at it? The last thing I need is another project (according to my wife)

Other than said elbow grease and tlc , what do you see that I need to bring it back?

Thanks,
Chris

nuttin' really. Fix the front brake; troll eBay for another saddle. That is in really good shape. These are the ones that are worth a pile'o'money, right?

I had one of those in red way back when... the shifter almost killed me one day when I locked up the brakes in fifth gear and hit a pothole.

LoL! You are the reason they went to the handlebar mounted shifters in '74
