Cantilever Sora Question

Hello everybody,

a few months ago I picked up a bike - I don't know what it is. It looks like mid-70s. It's got a beautiful lugged frame, Dia Compe cantilever brakes with Weinmann levers, TA Specialites crankset, Shimano 600 gears (12 spd), Shimano hubs with Weinmann rims and SR everything else, a Brooks Professional saddle and full crome forks.

It was filthy when I bought it but it cleaned up well and works beautifully. However there isn't an identifying mark on it apart from RA stamped on the top of the rear cantilever braze-on. Nothing on the bottom bracket. It looks like a Raleigh Pro frame that someone has set up for touring. It's sprayed black.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone would know if it's possible to get Sora type combined levers and shifters that would work with cantilever brakes?

I'd be most grateful for any advice.

Sora STI levers would work with cantilever brakes, but not linear pull/V brakes. (Unless you get something like a travel agent adapter)

Cheers for speedy reply. I've been reading stuff about V brakes needing levers with different mechanical advantage - that not apply to cantilevers then? (which I thought were a variation on V brakes)

V brakes evolved from canti's... Levers that work with regular sidepull road calipers will work with cantis. They don't pull enough cable for V brakes...

Meanwhile, let's see a picture of the bike!;)
