Rear rack

I've used the Ascent Rear Rack in the past and Nashbar always had a great price on them. I can no longer find them. Any good recommendations on a nice silver rear rack for a reasonable price?

Not much out there in silver alloy racks that are inexpensive. If you don't mind steel racks, Wald makes an inexpensive chrome rear rack. Here's one featured on a Supercourse mixte and a Gitane mixte.

Any shop that has an account with J&B can get you one for around $20 maybe less.

I just checked, Bike Parts USA has the Wald #215 chrome rack for $13.95 ea. So much nicer than the Pletscher, and what's another pound on a Schwinn Continental.

I really like that Wald rack, I wonder if it's made out of tube or the standard Wald re-bar?

Jandd will sell you a silver one if you call them and ask. They send it to you before it gets powder coated at no extra cost. I got a silver Expedition rack for my Paramount. I have large feet and needed a rack that had plenty of clearance.

That Jandd looks great! I don't know why they don't sell them without the powder coat. They are not inexpensive, however. Surly also sells Nice Rack in silver, but it probably retails for over $100.

I did see that QBP sells a Dimension rack (below) in silver... probably about $25 at a shop.
