Too much money for that bike. I've purchased two 1972-74 PX-10's in the $215 price range.

retyred do you mean you paid 215.00 for both bikes or you bought them for 215.00 each which would be 430.00 or do I misread your post

RECORD DU MONDE is not the name of the model, although lots of people think so. It means "world record" and Peugeot put that decal on a lot of models.

If the asking price was $50 for this bike, that is definitely the top price that I would pay. Although nice, it is very out of date and very difficult to find French replacement parts for. I am sure that you could find an 80's vintage Japanese made road bike for $50 easily , have more reliability, and more availability of spare parts.

If you check recent sales on similar models you'd see that they for a surprisingly high amount.

There are better deals out there. Be patient.

One PX-10 was a craigslist find for $200 in very good condition and the second was an ebay purchased PX10LE with direct pickup for $215. Both are my size (64cm). Sorry for the confusion.
