...and my wife thought that was the craziest thing she'd ever heard. Seemed perfectly reasonable to me. I felt like taking the Bottecchia to work in the morning for something with a sportier ride so I could take it out at lunch for quick spin. But as it isn't set up for commuting, I needed to switch it out for the Panasonic at lunch or else I'd be riding home in the dark with no lights. Car people, sheesh!

A couple of months ago, I headed out to work on one bike, hit a pothole and flatted the rear tire just a few blocks from home, so I went back and grabbed another bike. Then, at the end of the day after my commute home, I needed to go the grocery store, so I grabbed my grocery store beater bike. One day--three bikes; what else are you going to do when you have a lot of them?
