Looking for some advice on removing old glue from my vintage steel tubular rims
Looks like it has been on there for 20 years. Any advice will be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Never seen steel tubular rims?
Anyway, if the glue is dry (not tacky) I start with a wire-wheel in a bench grinder. Just hold the rim up in line with wheel and use modest pressure working your way around the rim.
This will sometimes leave a perfectly clean surface if there are not too many layers of old glue. But if there's layers left that are not dry and brittle you can then use chemicals and a scraper to deal with that.
Paint stripper at worst but try naptha or similar first.
