Suntour Alpha compatible with Suntour Ultra
Is Suntour Alpha Accushift compatible with Suntour Ultra? I'm looking to switch 13-24 gearing for 12-19. Alpha Accushift is 1989 w/GPX 7-speed. Ultra ad says it's Accushift compatible from 1990-1991. I don't want to waste their time/my expense to order one that won't work, if anyone knows. If not, I'll get out the bike stand, again....

Suntour Alpha 3040 six speed shifters / derailleurs are incompatible with all other Accushift componentry.
Pre-1989 Accushift derailleurs appear to lack the double pivot design which really enables smooth indexing.
