Identify my bike please!

I recently dug up an old bike my pops had and restored it as best I could. It's a Univega "Arrow Speed" 12-speed, with Lawee design and Shimano SIS shifters. I've been trying to find out the year it was made, but can't seem to do so. Is there a serial number decryption for Univegas? The serial is M8C22940. It's in pretty good shape and seems to have all original components. So, next Q is, how would one go about pricing something like that? It's too small for my 6'4'' stature and I want to sell. I'm pretty new on the cycle scene so I'm looking for any help I can get with web resources. Thanks a bunch.

Its a very nice Univega! I can tell you that much.
With an M serial number, I bet its a Miyata built. But I'll wait til T-Mat shows up, he is the expert.

Too bad your not in NC. I've got a 63cm, 83 Schwinn Traveler I might be willing to swap for that Univega, but I'm not sure either of these bikes are worth the cost of packing and shipping cross country.
Around here that Univega would sell for $80 to $120 with new tires, lubed and chain cleaned.

I like it, but I'm all the way down here in south Texas and I don't have anything that might interest you. Anyway, good luck selling your bike.
