Any 80's Raleigh Competition Owners?

I'm having a hard time finding brake pads for the Dia-Compe AC-300G calipers that came on it. Does anyone out there own one and what do you use for replacements?

Unless you can find replacements, I would suggest getting friendly with a machinist, who could make you some custom collars, or nuts for the standard threaded brake pad posts that have collar extensions, to replace your bolts. Then you could use Kool-Stop, either the Dura, Thinline or whatever -- so long as it has a threaded post going all the way through your eccentric washer and thingie, nutted on the outside of those. Stainless would be the best material for this. Check first that you could get brake pads with a long enough stud to go through all that stuff!

Less hassle, and perhaps even less money: go Tektro, or get some NOS Dia-Compe Something-Elses. I feel your prematurely obsolescent pain.

I suspect KoolStops with regular threaded studs could easily be made to work, with the added benefit of enhanced stopping power.
