Superbe Pedal Cartridge Bearing Group Buy

Okay, well the seller on ebay that I found late last year when I was thinking about this has 1000s of bearings.
As usual I have opened my big mouth to soon.

Here are the inboard bearings, I know because I have had this item on watch since last summer. Don't know what happened to the outboard bearings, they are a different size.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=003

The outboard are the same with different dimensions. You'll have to wait till I get home to remeasure the outnboard and then double check to make sure the seller is still offering lots of 10 in that size. If we assume that both lots of 10 are $20 (though I feel like the outboard lot I used to have in my watch list was maybe 15) then it is $40 for 5 sets plus shipping which to me in Canada is $17 but to the US is only $9. That would be $10 for a set of bearings in the US plus shipping or close to $11 plus shipping from Canada. How much would a set be from Canada? I would probably put them in a bubble envelope, and I'd have to go to the PO and check.

I am in for 2 sets
Yellow Jeep 1
Lotek 1
and perhaps afilado for 1.

That is complete. If someone in the US wanted to do the buy and distribute the bearings they would at least have no additional shipping cost above the $10 per bearing. If no body wants to do that I am willing to do it but it may be a few dollars more per set. I have thought about doing it anyway and just selling the sets on ebay as superbe replacement bearing sets.

Unfortunately it won't be till friday that I can measure up the bearings and find a lot of 10 outboard bearings and again this is assuming the seller still has that size which I assume he does.

Awesome YellowJeep! You're all over this. Anyone in the US want to do the buy? If not, y'all comfortable with me doing the buy and shipping from Canada...

The rubber seal is sweet as one of my sets is missing the outer rubber seals.

Doesn't matter the pedals have a rubber seal and the stock bearings are steel shielded anyway.

They do not, and it's about $10 a bearing there so $40 plus shipping per set. we are talking about $10 a set with a group buy.

hey dudes,
it might make more sense to buy bearings individually & direct from enduro:

http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id169.html

the prices are competitive and i appreciate access to the specs (bearing grade & grease type)
i am a bit dubious of dirt cheap no-name ebay bearings...

suntour superbe & xc pro use 1 each 698 & 63800
bonus!: mks rx1 use 1 each 688 & 63800

if you are still interested in doing a group buy (if it saves or if they won't ship to you)
i might be interested, as i was planning on making a 20+ bearing order anyway

hmm, their "MAX" bearings are competitively priced but they do not have the other ones we need.

"I am in for 2 sets

Cyclotoine, I appreciate your effort. For the sake of clarity I will say this.

My bearings are in great shape. I won't order just to have an extra set in the parts drawer. Also, I am interested only in complete rebuild set - I guess that's two bearings for each pedal, 2 inboard and 2 outboard.

When you have costs and get your group buy together I'll watch here for info. Or, you're welcome to contact me directly. If you need 10 people for a buy and only have 9, I will join you. If you otherwise meet or exceed your minimum group size, I will not.

I'll take your word for correct sizing and quality. To repeat, my pedals are Superbe, not Superbe Pro, if there is a difference in specs.

Again, thanks.

Not quite sure that I understand what the final price per set of 4 bearing will be, but since it's a try at cheap-as-possible, I' in for 1 set of 4.

If you were to buy yourself a set of bearings from enduro it would cost you $17.

If I were to buy 5 sets from ebay I would have to charge about the same to cover costs.

If I were to buy 10 sets from ebay I would have to charge about $15.50 doesn't make a great deal.

If someone in the US were to front the $85 bones for 10 sets from ebay it would be $8.50 a set plus shipping in the US which I imagine could be quite cheep for a set?

Really a group buy helps me out the most being a Canadian because these companies charge a lot for shipping I guess they don't like to use the more economical options... I am sure it would cost about $4 to mail 8 bearings to canada, I get bubble envelopes all the time with shipping prices of like 2.50 or 3.25... from the US....

For me 2 sets from enduro I pay $41 (uggg!) it would be $28 for ONE set... $16 for shipping... Insane!
