Vintage late 80s Dura Ace 9 speed Group

Hi

Can anyone guestimate what I might be able to sell a late 80's Dura Ace 9 speed group for? Cranks, downtube shift levers, brakes, cassette and front cogs?

I'm looking into buying a part to part out, and I'm trying to see if it's worth it.

Thanks

You mean late 90s? Unless it's dirt cheep don't waste your time. depend on condition really. It's not old enough to be desirable from a C&V point of view and it's too old to be competitive with new stuff. So your target market is someone looking to build a decent road bike on a budget with discount used parts... i.e. not a big money maker.

If it is late 80s/early 90s dura-ace 8 speed that a whole different ball of wax.

9s w/DT shifters instead of STI is not going to be worth as much, but depending on condition you'd still get $250+

Some Corrections :

It is late 80s I am pretty sure, and is a 6 speed group, not 9.

Derailleurs and BB are also Dura Ace in addition to cranks and brakes.

I'm not looking to make a killing on this, just want a ballpark realistic sense of what I might get for it. I'm thinking of buying the bike for some other parts on it that I want, and just want to figure if I stand a chance on saving money (over retail) by selling this group and the frame again. I have a good sense what the frame will go for.

Thanks again, you guys are always very helpful.

Next question. Is it a 6 speed freewheel or a 6 speed Uniglide cassette? In either case you're probably going to want to get a new wheelset, or at least a new rear.

ah ... that kills it. I was thinking of getting it for the wheel. Never mind then.

Thanks.
