85 bridgestone 700 seatpost size?

anybody have this bike or know from firsthand experience? sheldon listed the 400 at 27mm, but didn't mention the 700. Seems probable that the size would be the same, but i want to be sure before I make any arrangements.

i do not want to load the bike into a car and drive it to the lbs for seatpost measurement and the roads are a little to gnarly right now (ice, gravel, wild beasts) to ride seatless. all suggestions appreciated!

best

You can buy a cheap caliper for less than $2 that will give you the answer you want. If you are going to do a lot of bikes spend $10 and buy a better one. Also most but not all bikes have the seat post size stamped on the seat post so if you have the old one take it out of the bike and look and see what you can find. Roger

I have a 1986 700 and a 1988 RB-2 and both have a 27mm seatpost. A safe bet that it is the same for 1985.
