Packaging... I've seen it all

I just received a set of NR derailleurs off the bay from a seller in Belgium. I have been waiting for my buzzer to ring for a few days now. Today I go to my box and find in it... a milk carton Halfvolle Melk, Lait denk-ecreme. The carton had been open after the melk had been dranken and the contents replaced with my derailleurs for shipment overseas. ?!!

Sounds practical. Hopefully they rinsed it clean first.

That's a good one. Maybe you can sell the melk carton on eBay. The only odd experience I've had was with a bike I purchased on eBay from a seller in Georgia. Upon opening the bike box I found that he had used old clothing as packing material! One piece was a leather jacket complete with that "worn for a long time" fragrance! Oh well, the bike survived the journey across the US.

I recievd a scale model locomotive in a cerial box wrapped in christmas paper, some clear tape and a Canada post label. I also had a crankset come in an organic bran flakes box, that came from the west coast as you can probably imagine.
