Looks to be a great bike in pristine condition… But he does want to absolute top dollar for it… If it fits perfectly and you love it; buy it. If it's not a total home run for you, I would not give more than 250 for it.

New to this thread. Strongly considering buying this 80's Nashbar RACE SIS from CL: 56cm Lugged vintage Racer
Any idea of the year, and/or do you have the catalogue you think this bike is listed in?

Arni Nashbar is now retired down in Florida... his signature can be found on the chain stays of many of the models. They offered great prices on mid to highline equimpment. I stumbled into cycling after knee surgery in 1984... and just haven't quite stumbled back out as of yet. You almost can't go wrong buying old Nashbar bikes or accessories. I've retired my old Nashbar road bikes... in fact, I've given most of them away. Still, now and again one wanders into my garage for refitment.... Just sold a couple of trail bikes... 5000DTX.. just good solid rides! I often wonder if Arni follows any of our posts.
