Swap AG insides with a AW? Hard?

Swap AG insides with a AW? Hard?
I'm about ready to give up on my AG. It just insists on skipping in all gears unter stress. Never had a speck of a problem with any SA hub until I bought a bare one on eBay. Live and Learn.
CHanging out pawls and springs is beyond me, but how easy would it be to pull the insides of the AG out and slip in a working version from an AW? Would I still have to deal with spring-loaded parts flying off, and magnet de-magnetization? Can I leave the dynohubs in place, and change out the old axle/hub with the new?

It won't fit. Although many of the individual parts are interchangable, the AG's gear assembly as a whole is narrower than the AW's.

if you feel like you are capable of opening up the hub and swapping the innards, you can almost certainly replace the pawls and clutch..
it really isn't hard, and it doesn't require special tools or skills..

Well, you're right. It wasn't that hard. I changed out the pawls there on the outside of the thing, and it seems to have worked.
So much for all those websites talking about springs flying all over the place and stuff. I just slapped it back together in more or less the same order, and it seems to work ok. The Dynahub side seems to make a scrapping noise, but it works.
